Qualcomm officially revealed its newest high-performance mobile processor – the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. It has the Codenamed SM8735, this new chip is designed to elevate the capabilities of recent premium smartphones.

The recently introduced Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 is Qualcomm’s new chip that ushers in a new era for smartphones and other devices that will feature the processor.

Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 is manufactured using TSMC’s advanced N4P 4nm process. This indicates a focus on optimizing both power consumption and raw performance. The result should be devices that run smoothly and last longer on a single charge.

Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Processor (SM8735): a Fresh Contender

One notable design choice is the CPU. While the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite features the cutting-edge Oryon core, the 8s Gen 4 utilizes the Kryo CPU. This suggests a strategic positioning, likely targeting a specific performance and price bracket within the high-end market.
