Bakker Elkhuizen is a brand we are still quite new with after recently reviewing the ultraboard 950 wireless keyboard & Bakker Elkuizen wireless vertical Mouse.
In this review, we are checking out the Bakker Elkhuizen Ergo-Q 260 Laptop Stand. With many of us still working from home creating the perfect working environment has never been more important.
First Impressions
This laptop stand provides the user with a portable workstation that folds down into a slim sheet perfect for placing in your laptop bag when heading into the office. The stand is well made and offers a premium feel I have two different size laptops and the stand worked well for both the stand works for laptops 13 to 15 inches.
Now as we are using our laptop for long periods of time the chance of you being uncomfortable and causing long term posture issues for the user. Mainly due to the low screen and cramped together with the keyboard creates unnatural positions that can cause injury.
The Bakker Elkhuizen laptop stand solves these issues by raising the screen to eye level. I paired this with that wireless Keyboard and Mouse for the perfect set-up as using the keyboard on the laptop in an angled position will be very uncomfortable.
Design/Build
The Bakker Elkhuizen Ergo-Q 260 has a premium ergonomic design as it’s built using Hylite Aluminium offering a strong build at the same time being lightweight just over 13oz. The stand is very thin but sturdy at the same time as you can see below.
Size-wise the stand folds down to the same size as a sheet of A4 which is 9mm in depth when flat. This allows you to take this on the go as I mentioned earlier in this review.
The front of the stand comes with an integrated holder so you can prop up any printed document you might be working from allowing the fact you won’t need to keep turning your head to read the document while typing. Therefore adding to the comfort when working. You can also fold down the integrated holder if needed.
This stands offers a minimalist design allowing you to work from home with comfort. The small rubber feet at the rear of the stand will prevent any movement when on the desk. The stand also comes with 5 adjustments allowing you to set that preferred angle when working.
Verdict
Products from Bakker Elkhuizen all generally come with that premium design and the Ergo-Q 260 laptop stand is a great addition to your work from home set up and the fact it folds down to be slim in size allows it to be very portable. This stand is a great product but the only issue that I can see is the cost it comes with a premium price tag of £119.99 which if am honest feels far too expensive for a laptop stand if it’s just going to stay at home 80% of the time. However, if you’re always on the go and doing work in an airport lounge or in-between meetings this stand can be set up in seconds and placed in your bag as quickly as you are on the move again.
