Most of us love a good massage at a spa but how do you solve sore muscles at home? Handheld massage guns are the answer to your prayers they can help aid in training recovery if you are a runner or simply help you relax after a long day on your feet.
This review looks at the upgrade to the C2 massage gun we reviewed at the end of 2022. The Bob and Brad C2 Pro heat and ice massage gun comes with a full range of accessories and promises performance that will match the likes of the Theragun Pro Plus but at a fraction of the price.
Now I have suffered from a sore neck since I had a car accident and suffered from whiplash a few years back. So I was keen to test out the new heat and ice attachment.
First Impressions
The C2 Pro massage gun from Bob & Brad is identical to the C2 model before it. The main difference is the inclusion of heat and cold therapy making it versatile and effective for post-recovery or relaxation. I was impressed with how easy it is to switch from heat to cold therapy. Now cold therapy is more suitable for sore joints while heat therapy combats soreness in your muscles.
The Unboxing Experience was a pleasant one as we were provided with a range of accessories.
It’s very competitively priced at only £79.99 via Amazon compared to the Theragun Pro Plus which also comes with a heat feature but is significantly more expensive at just under the £500 mark. If the heat and Ice treatment attachment is not overly important, you could save £10 and just buy the Bob & Brad C2 model.
Design
The C2 Pro offers the best reach of any massage gun we have tested and this even includes the Q2 mini. The C2 Pro comes with a 4 ½ inch handle that is coated in silicone that offers extra grip this allows you to work on the upper and lower back with ease.
The C2 Pro measures up at 18.3 x 6.2 x 13.2cm and is fairly lightweight at 1.5 pounds which is not that heavy thanks in part to the fact it’s mostly plastic construction. There is also an industry-leading 10mm amplitude which delivers a deep muscle treatment with over 44 lbs of force. This gun also comes with 5 speeds ranging from 2000 to 3200 percussions per minute giving you control over the intensity of your massage and offering effective muscle treatment suited to your needs.
The C2 Pro massage gun offers a powerful percussion massage gun that can easily reach 80% of your body. The high amplitude, paired with various massage heads and speeds offers a comprehensive solution for quick recovery and rejuvenation.
Battery Life
The C2 Pro massage gun rapidly charges using the provided USB-C charging cable and will fully charge in about 2 hours. Once charged you can expect about 3-5 hours of battery life providing you will plenty of relaxing massages. I found the battery performance is as outstanding as the C2 model before this as it maintains its charge even during intermittent use.
Accessories
The main attachment that is different from the C2 model is the heat & ice attachment in addition to this the C2 Pro comes with the following:
Ball Head – Suitable for quads and glutes and suitable for muscle soreness.
Air Cushion Head – Suitable for Sensitive Body Parts & relaxation.
Bullet Head – Suitable for joints, deep tissue massage, trigger points and small muscle areas like feet & wrists.
U-Shaped Head – Suitable for the spine, neck, and shoulder areas or sensitive muscles and soft tissues.
You will notice everything comes nicely packed in a high-quality carry case. The case also includes a few extra rubber sleeves which go on the ends of the attachments. There is also a charging cable and an instruction manual.
What is the Heat & Ice Head?
This removable massage gun head charges separately from the C2 Pro Gun using the same USB-C charging cable provided. Charge time takes about 2 hours in total and the run time for the head is about an hour in total. It’s worth noticing the gun will shit off automatically after 10 minutes of continuous use.
The attachment itself has two buttons one for heat and one for ice. A long press on either button switches it on. It would help if you made a short press to jump between the two settings.
Heat – Yellow is low heat and red is high heat.
Ice – Green is low and blue is high.
This attachment when in use needs to be applied on bare skin overwise you will not feel the benefit. I found using the heat to be beneficial for my lower back I would have liked one more level to get a little hotter but that is solely personal preference. What you will notice is regardless of if you are using heat or ice settings it gets to the ideal temperature in just a few seconds.

I have always enjoyed the massage guns that I have reviewed from Bob and Brad and this model the Heat +Ice C2 Pro massage gun is a game changer when it comes to muscle recovery and relaxation. The C2 Pro comes with a sleek design and user-friendly features making this gun suitable whether you are a professional sports athlete looking to help your recovery or you are just looking to solve everyday aches and pains.
What makes this gun stand out is the heat + Ice massage therapy. The ice massage supports sore muscles and joints. The heat massage on the overhand helps combat soreness and pain relief.
