D-Link, a global leader in networking and connectivity technologies, has announced two new additions to its portfolio of multi-Gigabit switches: the DMS-105 and DMS-108 5/8-Port 2.5G Multi-Gigabit Desktop Switches. The latest products provide a quick, easy and affordable way to upgrade home and business networks to eliminate bottlenecks and maximise performance and throughput.
With five or eight 2.5G multi-Gigabit ports, the switches provide high-speed, reliable wired connections to network-attached storage (NAS) devices, Wi-Fi 6 router/access points, gaming computers, and workstations. Ideal for demanding business or home network setups, users can access network resources and transfer large multimedia files at lightning speeds.
The DMS-105 and DMS-108 offer Quality of Service (QoS) support, allowing different types of applications to be prioritised, depending on their importance. IGMP Snooping support optimises multicast data streams for bandwidth-intensive applications such as IPTV, reducing unnecessary network traffic and improving performance.
The 2.5G Multi-Gigabit Desktop Switches feature low power consumption and a fanless design to enhance reliability and lower electricity costs while allowing noise-free operation. Their compact and discreet metal housing enables the switches to be easily installed wherever needed.
