EIZO Corporation introduces the FlexScan FLT, or “Future Leading Technology”, the world’s most power-efficient monitor. Lightweight, sleek and sustainable, this 23.8-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display achieves a groundbreaking Class A rank on the European Energy Label – a first for any monitor globally.
For more than 30 years, EIZO has led the development of power-efficient, ergonomic, and eco-conscious monitors within the business enterprise sector. In 2023, the company accelerated its efforts and committed to achieve carbon neutrality across the entire value chain by 2040. The FlexScan FLT is part of its “Transition to Net Zero” plan and embodies EIZO’s vision for the future.
Its sustainability-focused approach, robust functionality, and sleek design reflect EIZO’s commitment to continuous innovation – not just for today’s challenges, but for a brighter tomorrow.
Future-Leading Sustainability
Sustainability leaders in organisations worldwide must make informed decisions when procuring technology that will help them meet their sustainability goals. With a typical power consumption of just 6 watts, the FLT can make an immediate positive impact on energy usage associated energy costs.
The FlexScan FLT achieved TCO Certified Generation 10, the highest tier of EPEAT Gold and the EPEAT Climate+ designation, reinforcing its environmental advantages.
Its housing incorporates 95% recycled plastic, promoting the reduction of plastic waste, conservation of resources, and reuse of materials. The monitor’s packaging and cushioning are also made from recycled materials to minimise environmental impact. Optimised packaging size allows for increased loading efficiency by approximately 50% and a decrease in GHG (Greenhouse Gas) emissions during transport by up to 42%. Corporate customers have options for collective packaging, with or without desk stands, to further reduce overall waste and streamline installation time.
From the procurement and manufacturing to shipping and usage, the GHG emissions throughout the entire product lifecycle of the FLT have been reduced by approximately 32% compared to a previous 23.8-inch monitor.
Future-Leading Workstyle
As modern workstyles diversify, workspaces must evolve to empower individuals to work efficiently, creatively, and comfortably. The FLT features USB Type-C ports for a single-cable connection to a laptop, enabling video display, USB signal transmission, and a maximum of 60 watts of power supply to a connected PC. The FlexScan FLT is also the first EIZO monitor to support power supply from external devices via USB Type-C, allowing it to operate without the need for an AC adapter.
The FlexScan FLT’s Auto EcoView function automatically adjusts the screen brightness based on ambient lighting changes, while the EcoView Optimizer 2 function fine-tunes brightness and gain according to displayed content. Together, these technologies enhance viewing comfort and minimise power consumption. The monitors new Eco Mode preset automatically activates both functions for easy access.
Users can view the power consumption of the FLT and connected devices, including the PC, in real time through the OSD, promoting eco-consciousness. Additionally, they can choose to display this information statically at the edge of the screen for quick, at-a-glance reference.
Future-Leading Design
Design and atmosphere play a vital role in office environments, significantly enhancing employee productivity and creativity while reflecting the company’s values and culture. Weighing just 2.4 kg and featuring a sleek bezel thickness of 24.4 mm, the monitor creates a streamlined and unobtrusive office environment. Its distinct ‘hollow’ bezel design offers a frameless appearance, further elevating its modern, future-inspired aesthetic.
Mounted on a unique arm, the monitor creates a floating effect that allows it to blend seamlessly into any workspace. The arm provides flexible positioning for the screen and features an integrated clamp for effortless attachment and removal by simply twisting the base.
