IP (Ingress protection) this measures how well the mobile or gadgets is protected from both liquids and solid objects for example the IP rating may look like this IP57. The first digit defines how well the product is protected from the solid object stuff and the second digit is about how much the device is resistance to the water liquid. The higher rating of ingress protection describes that the product is better protected from both objects and liquid. The IP ratings are only officially given to the product that undergoes special and regular testing by a certified company. The waterproof mobile phone and other devices can make all the difference between launching and stressing out when your drink is splashed on your mobile device or if your mobile phone falls into the pool.

Nowadays, most people prefer to buy water-resistant smartphones, because you don’t have to purchase a separate waterproof case for keeping your valuable mobile gadgets safe and you can use it in the water too. Apple has introduced the water-resistance capabilities in the iPhone 7 as like Apple many of the popular mobile phone branded companies is introducing their waterproof mobile device such as Samsung Galaxy note and Galaxy S.   • Most of the waterproof resistance testing is performed in fresh and clean water where the devices are not guaranteed to hold or immersed into the salt water unless it is specially stated by the mobile manufacturer.

 

  • While showering with the ingress protection rated devices is not recommended and the devices won’t break if you forget to take it off from the water. In which the mobile phone have any gap to enter the water, then it become damaged. However, the water damage will not enclose under the smartphone warranty.

 

  • You need to avoid pressing the buttons of the mobile device in underwater where this could let the water to enter into the mobile case and damage the mobile device.

If you are buying a new mobile device then check the IP rating before buying the mobile device so that you will be getting a clear idea about purchasing the high-quality mobile device that has water proof technology. There are IP codes that are pattern set by the worldwide electro technical commission and according to this association, the codes are intended to classify how the system is protective to the water and other solid objects. Check that your mobile has some good IP rating only then you can protect your device from the damage caused by the water and other solid objects.
