Skullcandy is a brand you would most associate with their audio products but they have a range of powerbanks as who wants their headphones to run out of battery.
In this review we have had the chance to test the Stash Wireless which is a 10,000 mAh power bank that offers wireless charging, Split charging cable, charge power level. This power bank comes in two colours black or deep red and costs £69.99. Some people might think this is a little expensive for a powerbank but you are getting 10,000mAh of power.
The powerbank comes with a smooth finish and has the Skullcandy logo just below the clear plastic display that shows you how much percentage of battery you have left. On the side of the powerbank, you get a small button that once pressed not only shows you the percentage left in the powerbank but the button also turns the power on.
Size-wise (140 x69 x 19 mm) which you could slip in your pocket and is easy to take anyway with you. It weighs 196g which is a little heavy compared to your iPhone. My only negative is the powerbank a little bulky meaning I would more likely put the powerbank in my bag over my pocket but that is not a big deal.
I did notice it only started charging my phone via the wireless charging option once I turned the power on. If you just place your phone on the powerbank it won’t automatically switch on which is a slight negative.
The Powerbank comes with 10,000 mAh and offers the following number of charges depending on what you are charging.
In this review, I charged my iPhone X and got 4 full charges from the stash wireless and found it charged my phone very quickly. Now the USP of this powerbank is the fact you can charge up to 3 devices at once with the three ports. You get 1x USB-C port & 2X USB-A ports allowing you to charge a number of devices at once.
Skullcandy also gives you a dual charge cable that comes with a Micro USB & USB- C ends allowing you to charge multiple devices at once.
My overall opinion of this powerbank is I love the fact you can charge multiple devices at once and the fact you also have wireless charging option. This powerbank gives you 40 hours of power meaning you will never run out of power in your headphones, mobile phone or even tablet.
The powerbank not perfect my only real negative is you have to power up the powerbank even when you want to use the Qi wireless charging setting. Other chargers that allow for wireless charging I have reviewed automatically switch on when you have placed your device on top of the powerbank. If you are happy to simply switch the powerbank on when you want to charge its not a big issue.
So if you are looking for a charger that packs a punch and gives you the chance to review multiple devices at £69.99 from the Skullcandy website it’s well worth the investment.
