Online gaming has never been bigger with the lockdown creating things like the Fifa ESports Cup and most kids like my own hooked on games like Fortnite having a gaming setup has never been more important. Here at What Gadget, We were recently sent the Snakebyte Pro gaming range which includes keyboard, gaming mouse and gaming mat that are designed with the pro gamer in mind.
Snakebyte Key: Board PRO
The First up is the Snakebyte Key: board Pro which costs £49.99 which may seem expensive for a keyboard but my son who is an avid gamer tells me this is mid-range price-wise.
The Keyboard looks great in design and gives you that gaming feel and boy I loved the fact this keyboard lights up (Yes I am easily pleased). Set up of the keyboard was very simple simply plug the USB-C which has a breaded finish. The keyboard does have a german layout which might take a little getting used to but my son did not have that issue.
The keyboard comes with a mechanical feel keys that does provide an overall enjoyable gaming experience with the sound of the key presses when playing something like Fortnite. The faceplate is aluminium and this provides some durability to the product. You can use this keyboard with your gaming PC or XBOX or PlayStation.
The integrated LED lighting under the keys come in 9 different modes and can all be activated by a quick press of the FN key followed by a number such as:
FN+1 – LED Rainbow continuously
FN+2 – LED Rainbow Pulsing
FN+3 – LED Rainbow Flashing
FN+4 – Monochrome background lighting fixed (7 colours selectable)
FN+5 – Monochrome background lighting Pulsing (7 colours selectable)
FN+6 – Monochrome background lighting Flashing (7 colours selectable)
FN+7 – Monochrome background lighting Flashing (3 colours)
FN+8 Monochrome background lighting Fixed (3 colours Selectable)
FN+9 LED-Rainbow Fixed
You can change the colour any time you like but I prefer the continuously flashing rainbow. I feel it just looks cool. We mentioned the keyboard is the german layout which can take a little time to get used to and you will notice some keys are even labelled in german.
Overall it’s just a great keyboard and easy to set up but if I had to find fault it has to be it does not have mechanical switches which adds to the overall enjoyment as without the mechanical switches it affects the responsiveness and versatility of the keyboard. However, if this is your first steps into having your own gaming set up at 49.99 it’s well worth it just for the colour changes alone.

Snakebyte Game: Mouse Pro
Also in the pro gaming range is the Snakebyte game:Mouse Pro and boy this mouse just rocks. It looks like a transformer in design.
This mouse comes with a professional optical sensor with 4 DPI settings that are interchangeable with a press of a button you get a sensitivity perfect for gaming. It can be adjusted up to 4,000 DPI depending on the game you’re playing; most users will be happy with the 1600- 3200 range. The mouse also comes with the braided cable that is 1.8m in length allowing for you to have your mouse positioned away from your console.
If you tap the button with a running man logo you can pick your points with increased accuracy. As for the other buttons on this mouse it’s packed with buttons like:
- Left Button
- Right Button
- Scroll Button
- Forward
- Backwards
- DPS change
- Backlight charge
You will only use 5 buttons for commands when gaming as the backwards and forward buttons lie where your thumb lies in someone right-handed. Unfortunately for me, I am left-handed but my son is a right so he was able to test it for me with ease. Just under the scroll button is the DPI change and backlight change. The mouse offers seven different colour options which can be changed to suit the colour of the keyboard you have that day. I personally like the Yellow as it got that transformer style to it. The mouse just like the keyboard can be used on a PC, XBOX or Playstation. In this review, we connected it to my PS4.
This mouse like the keyboard comes with a braided cable that adds to its durability meaning it will last longer as you get into your gaming. My son’s overall experience of this mouse was very responsive when taping them buttons when gaming with the right number of buttons to spread out the controls.
Plus the fact you can change the colours and its overall design just looks cool and at £24.99 it’s well worth the money and is a great addition to your pro gaming setup.

Last but not least once you have your keyboard and mouse what are you missing?
Introducing the: Snakebyte Mouse: Pad Pro
The snakebyte mouse: pad Pro comes in at 80 x 30cm and will allow you to place both the keyboard and mouse on top as when we tested everything we were limited for space.
Snakebyte have created it to allow for the mouse to run smoothly and allows the mouse to glide across the mat adding to the overall gameplay experience. This is due to the low friction surface.
This is a nice finishing touch and the overall design adds to the professional gaming feel from the Snakebyte logo in the corner to on the back the non-slip rubber base meaning this never moves when you’re gaming. You also get a nice braided finish around the edge which will stop your mouse flying off the mat mid-battle.
Cost-wise at £13.99 it’s well worth the investment and will give you that finishing touch to your pro gaming setup.
The Snakebyte Game:Mouse Pro £13.99 from Amazon
So for the full Snakebyte Pro gaming kit, it costs £88.97 in total and knowing how much some gaming accessories cost due to having my son this is a great package for anyone who wants a full gaming experience.
Overall Rating: 4.5 out of 5.0 stars
If you are a Fortnite fan check out my son Instagram page: Kronix, as he helped with the review and what he does on Fornite, is very impressive.
