In the current situation with lots of now having to work from home due to the Covid outbreak being able to get some chill-out time can be difficult. Well, accessory brand Tellur might have come up with the solution. Introducing the Tellur Wi-Fi Aroma Diffuser.
I have never had a diffuser before in the house so was keen to see what it was about. Inside the box, its very simple you get the diffuser, charger adapter and user manual.
The aroma diffuser costs € 69.99 from the Tellur website and I have to say am impressed. It a gadget that makes you chill out in a heartbeat. It helps you to ease your mind but be careful you do not fall asleep to the mystical colours.
The diffuser is made of plastic but uses a wood-like covering to add to the style of the device. This diffuser has a LED strip just below the lid and the top part of the lid is made of a clear plastic that with the 4 LED Lights inside the base makes it look like the lid is changing colours It does this with the use of RGB lighting.
The diffuser is connected via Wi-Fi is controlled via the Tellur smart app you can control running times and also the colour that appears from the diffuser. You can also link this to your smart home set up and control it via Alexa or google assistant if you wanted.
How does it work?
The aroma diffuser uses an ultrasonic mechanism to atomize the water and essential oils from the water tank to produce a cool, humid, fragranced mist.
Once you know where in your house you want to use it place it and then plug the charger adapter in the port under the base. You need to keep it plugged in all the time for it to work. Once plugged in do not turn it on just yet! Take the lid off and fill up the diffuser with 300ml of water and add 3 drops of essential oil per 100 ml of water. (You will notice inside the device it has a plastic lip do not fill past that point) Then place the lid back and then press the power button.
You have two buttons on the front of the diffuser Light & Mist button. The Mist button powers the device and also lets you pick from 1hr/ 3hr / 6hrs time periods that the diffuser will run for. The light button simply lets you pick just one colour or set it up so it changes between the 7 colours.
This diffuser automatically switches off after the time period or when the water as runout. Setting up the app was very easy like below. As mentioned it offers scheduled running times and also what colours that will appear. The only issue you might have is when you go to set up the Wi-Fi the frequency has to be 2.4MHz instead of the 5MHz which you can change on your router if you wish or just use the diffuser without the app and it works just fine you just won’t be able to plan a schedule of use.
So if you’re looking to add a little chill into your life in such an uncertain time this diffuser will do just that. I would have given this full marks but for the fact, the app won’t work on 5MHz Wi-Fi frequency made this drop a point.
