Uber Reserve will be available to schedule 90 days in advance, making travel to the airport easier than ever

With Spring arriving, travel season has begun and this year experts predict travel will continue to boom globally, rising by a further 30%. Uber is taking the stress and guesswork out of travel planning with new products and features that will get you to, from, and even around the airport as easily and efficiently as possible.

Here’s what you can expect:

  •  90-day reservation on Uber Reserve: We’re rolling out a feature that will let you reserve a ride up to 90 days in advance (before it was 30 days), so the next time you’re booking flights, you can lock in your ride to the airport and your fare – leaving nothing on your itinerary up to chance.
  • Directions to pickup: We’re adding step-by-step instructions within the Uber app to seamlessly guide you through the airport and get you from your gate to the Uber pick-up location.  This feature helps travellers navigate through both new and familiar airports and launches in 30+ airports across the globe, including in London, Paris, Rome, Madrid, New York, San Francisco, São Paulo, Mexico City and more!  Feature will roll out to further airports in the coming months.

We believe this feature not only helps riders and drivers find each other in the right place, at the right time but also reduces idle time for drivers, creating a more efficient and less congested airport experience.

  • Walking ETAs: We’ve all been there – you’re waiting to get off the plane and wondering how long it’ll take you to get from the gate to the Uber pick-up location. In the coming weeks, we’re rolling out a new feature that will help you more accurately plan how long it will take to get to baggage claim – so you won’t be waiting for your ride to arrive. Available at more than 400 airports around the world.
