We are all looking for a new charger that offers multiple charging ports and does it in a safe manner. In this review, we have been testing the VOLTME Revo 140W GaN fast charger that can change your mobile phone but also your MacBook at the same time.
The VOLTME Revo fast charger currently retails for £119 and comes in either black or white. When you unbox this charger they keep things simple by simply providing a thank you card and welcome guide to the charger.
First Impressions
The VOLTME Revo 140 uses GaN technology to provide up to 140W of power making it a stand-out charger on the market.
The Key features you are provided include

- Dual USB-C Ports + an extra USB-A port
- Built-in Over-voltage, over-current & short-circuit protection.
Design
The charger’s design has a modern feel and is very sleek in its build. The charger comes with an LED light on the front that indicates when the charger is charging and ready to be used. The charger is built using fireproof ABS plastic which protects the charger from damage but also provides a surprisingly good grip as well.
The VOLTME Revo is a portable charger ideal for the business traveller looking to keep multiple devices charged at once. The charger is compact and lightweight in design it measures 1.3” x 2.9” x 3.1” inches and weighs just 270g. Making this ideal for travelling. The VOLTME Revo 140 is also auto-switching 100-240V ~2A(Max), 50/60 Hz allowing you to use this charger anywhere in the world along with a simple plug converter.
The 3x ports are all made using aluminium which also helps with heat dissipation ideal as it helps to keep the charger cool in use. The VOLTME Revo is so easy to use it’s simply plug in and start using it. The charger comes with 2x USB-C ports and a USB-A port allowing you to charge 3 devices at once. The ports are labelled and the charger is compatible with charging a wide range of devices including smartphones, tablets, laptops and even gaming consoles making it a versatile charging option for a wide range of devices all at the same time.
As long as your device supports USB-C power delivery 3.1, quick charge 4.0 or even Samsung Adaptive fast charging. Allowing the VOLTME to charge your devices with speed but without any damage or overheating.
We did find there are a few limitations for example my son has a Lenovo Gaming Laptop that comes with a power supply that delivers 300W making using the VOLTME Revo just not possible to get the best performance in terms of charging.
That aside the VOLTME Revo 140W works perfectly with most devices around the but it’s worth just checking the level of watts needed for your device before you plug it in.
The Ports & OutPut
As we have mentioned the VOLTME Revo comes with 3 ports:
At the top is the first USB-C port (C1). This is rated at; 3.3 – 21V@5A(PPS)/5V@3A/9V@3A/12V @3A/15V@3A/20V@5A/28V@5A (140W Max).
The second USB-C port (C2), is rated at; 3.3 – 21V@5A(PPS)/5V@3A/9V@3A/12V@3A/15V @3A/20V@5A/20V@5A (100W Max).
Finally, the USB-A port (A), is rated at; 4.5V@5A/5V@4.5A/9V@2A/12V@1.5A.
If your looking for the best combination of ports to use below are a few options:

Performance
The VOLTME Revo 140W is designed to provide the user with fast and efficient charging for a wide range of devices and in our testing, we got some impressive results:
- Samsung Galaxy S10 – 0% to 100% – 45 minutes compared to 2 hours normally.
- Apple MacBook Pro M1 – 0% to 100% – 120 minutes compared to 180 minutes
- Apple iPhone 12 – 0% to 50% – 15 minutes compared to 30 minutes using a 20W fast charger.
What really impressed me with this charger is the GaN technology that converts more than 90% of the input power into usable output power that is basically no waste of energy which is fantastic when you consider the cost of energy currently.
Features
When you buy a charger the number one consideration has to be whether it is safe to use and this is another area in which this device shines brightly. You are protected by the following:
Short Circuit Protection – This feature will automatically shut off the charger if a short circuit was to occur protecting the devices being charged.
Over-Voltage Protection– This feature automatically shuts off the charger if the voltage exceeds the max limit preventing overheating of any of the devices you are charging.
Over-Current Protection– This feature automatically stops the charging process if the current level exceeds the max limit.
The VOLTME Revo also comes with a passive cooling system that prevents overheating and ensures that the charger remains cool even when charging at high power levels thank you GaN technology.
The charger also comes with all the safety certifications you can think of providing peace of mind when using this device.
Verdict
The VOLTME Revo charger is an excellent charger that provides the ability to charge multiple devices at once. The inclusion of GaN technology and the safety features makes this a reliable charging option. The only possible downside of this product is the cost of £119 some users might be this is a little on the expensive side and I would agree to a point. If you look at the bigger picture considering the charging speed and the build quality especially the ABS plastic used I feel justified the price point.
Overall, this charger is excellent for those looking for a powerful charging device that is compatible with a wide range of devices and charging protocols making this a great device to carry around with you or to simply have in your office.
