Xtorm is a brand we have reviewed a number of their products before such as Xtorm Magnetic Wireless Powerbank 5000 mAh & Xtorm Titan XB3 130W Powerbank. We are back reviewing the Xtorm XB4 Titan Pro power bank that has been designed with charging a laptop in mind.

Xtorm XB4 Titan Pro Powerbank

The Xtorm XB4 Titan Pro currently retails for £165 and comes with a 24,000mAh 140W USB-C ERP laptop power bank that provides an iconic design made with sustainable materials. The Titan Pro will charge a Macbook, Laptop, Tablet or even Smartphone.

First Impressions

The Xtorm XB4 is the upgraded model from the Xtorm Titan 130W and just like this model, you question the weight of the powerbank. Well, considering it weighs the same as the previous model at 558g it will provide you extra weight in your laptop bag but the fact you can charge not just your laptop but also your phone and tablet.

Now the key features of the powerbank include:

  • 4 powerful USB-C PD outputs- 2x 30W USB-C PD outputs, 1x 140W PD USB-C output, 1x 100W USB-C PD Fast charging output.
  • 1x Built-in USB-C 140W cable
  • Digital Power Indicator.

WHO ARE XTORM?

For those who are unaware of Xtorm, they call themselves “Europe’s #1 Power Brand” This is a bold claim and Xtorm’s goal is to energise people anywhere via its #MoreEngergy vision. The brand is actually part of a larger company called Telco Accessories B.V group and Xtorm has been around since 2009.

THE DESIGN

The Xtorm XB4 Titan Pro is a well-designed product that also offers a good level of functionality. This powerbank comes with an integrated built-in USB-C charging cable. Size wise the powerbank measures 185 x 90 x 25mm which is a little on the large size but understandable due to the 24,000 mAh battery capacity.

The powerband also comes with a good level of detail on the powerbank such as a little tag implemented on the top left of the power bank. The Xtorm also has the logo embedded onto the front of the powerbank. The new addition LED power indicator is also on the front of the powerbank but towards the base of the powerbank which will indicate the percentage of charge remaining in the case.

On the left side as well as that little tag you also have the power button and on the right side, you have that built-in USB-C PD cable.

On the rear, you have the normal power details and certified marks to show it’s a thoroughly tested product and meets all the correct standards.

Now just under the LED Power Indicator, you will see 4 outputs –

  • 2x 30W USB-C PD outputs
  • 1x 140W PD USB-C output
  • 1x 100W USB-C PD Fast charging output.

These touches make this a well thought of product that will enhance the user experience.

Performance

We have just mentioned that the Titan Pro comes with 4 ports, but why is this useful well it’s simple as you won’t need to worry about bringing multiple chargers as this unit has you covered. Now when charging multiple devices you will find the outputs will divide that power provided to the following:

When using 2 outputs:

  • Port 1 – 60W & Port 2 – 90W
  • Port 1 – 90W & Port 3 – 30W
  • Port 2 – 90W & Port 3- 30W

When using 3 outputs:

  • Port 1 -60W, Port 2- 60W & Port 3- 30W
  • Port 1- 60W, Port 2 – 60W & Port 4- 30W

When using all 4 outputs:

  • Port 1 – 100W, Port 2 -30W, Port 3&4 – Share 40W

In terms of charge speeds if your charging a MacBook Pro via the 140W output a 30-minute charge will give them 30 minutes. When it’s time to recharge the power bank you need to use the provided charging cable with one end in the 100W output and the other end into your plug with a USB-C port. To fully recharge this power bank it will take 1.5 hours to get a recharge.

Verdict

The Xtorm Titan Pro provides an excellent option to charge multiple options and when you are using it regularly you will soon ignore the weight of the powerbank. If you travel a lot and want to minimise clutter in your backpack and remove a range of charging cables this is a great solution.

Xtorm XB4 Titan Pro Powerbank

My only negative is the charging cable is only USB-C so if you’re an Apple user you need to bring an additional charging cable with you. Apart from that slight negative if you look for products with sustainability in mind the use of recycled plastic in the body of the powerbank and the packaging made from recycled materials really does tick the boxes of those who want brands to look after the planet.

Price wise at £165 it’s a little expensive but if you look at the bigger picture the functionality of this powerbank shows it’s worth every penny.
